Conditions of eligibility as per the UPSC NDA-II 2026 notification.
Unmarried male or female who is (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or specific East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. Categories (b) and (c) require an eligibility certificate from the Government of India (not required for Gorkha subjects of Nepal).
Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 01 January 2008 and not later than 01 January 2011 are eligible for NDA-II 2026. Candidates must remain unmarried until completion of full training; marriage during training leads to discharge with full cost recovery.
Only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary School Examination Certificate (or equivalent) is accepted. Horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts and service records are not accepted. Once submitted, the DOB cannot be changed for this or any future UPSC examination.
